Her extensive career includes positions ranging from teacher assistant to teacher, assistant principal, principal, director, principal supervisor, and central office director. In her current role as Executive Director of the Office of Innovative School Models , OISM, Karen Long leads a team committed to fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across schools. The OISM team focuses on ensuring that school plans are developed to specifically address the needs and strengths of vulnerable student populations, from K-12. Additionally, OISM provides critical support to schools that operate under autonomous models, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to promote equity and excellence in education. |
